Export duties on diesel and jet fuel jump significantly
The government has raised the export duty on diesel to Rs 55.5 per litre and on Aviation Turbine Fuel to Rs 42 per litre. Previously, these duties stood at Rs 21.50 and Rs 29.5 per litre respectively, as of March 26. This aggressive policy adjustment is designed to secure domestic fuel availability and dampen the impact of rising global oil prices on the local market.
